Legal Notice & Product Disclaimer

1. General Notice

The information, products, and services provided by Lekker Layers ("we," "us," or "our") are offered for general consumer use. By purchasing and using our products—including thermal heated apparel, power banks, and outerwear—you agree to the terms outlined in this notice.

2. Thermal Heated Apparel Disclaimer

  • Intended Use: Our thermal heated jackets are designed to provide warmth through low-voltage heating elements. They must be operated strictly in accordance with the provided instructions and safety guidelines.

  • Pre-existing Health Conditions: Individuals with circulatory problems, extreme heat sensitivity, nerve damage, pacemakers, or other medical conditions sensitive to heat or electromagnetic fields should consult a medical professional prior to using heated apparel.

  • Usage Safety: Do not use heated garments if the inner lining is wet, torn, or damaged. Never puncture, alter, or fold the heating elements tightly while powered on. Disconnect the power bank when the jacket is not in use or left unattended.

3. Battery & Power Bank Safety (Li-ion Battery Notice)

  • Compatibility & Voltage: Our power banks (including 20,000mAh units) are optimized for low-voltage consumer electronics and heated apparel. Use only approved charging cables and power sources.

  • Storage & Handling: Do not expose power banks to extreme temperatures (above 60°C/140°F), direct prolonged sunlight, high humidity, or liquids. Do not drop, puncture, incinerate, or disassemble power banks.

  • Charging: Always charge power banks on a flat, non-flammable surface. Do not leave power banks charging unattended overnight or for extended periods beyond full charge.

  • Disposal: Li-ion power banks must be disposed of or recycled in accordance with local South African electronic waste regulations. Do not dispose of lithium batteries in general household waste.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008):

  • Lekker Layers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the misuse, improper charging, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow product safety instructions for any apparel or electronic accessories.

  • Users assume full responsibility for inspecting garments and battery packs for wear or damage before each use.

5. Product Representation

We make every effort to display the colors, features, and specifications of our jackets and electronic accessories as accurately as possible. However, actual colors may vary slightly depending on display settings, and garment dimensions are subject to standard manufacturing tolerances.
